Dryvit Systems, Inc. is committed to supplying quality products and services to our customers while recognizing the importance of operating our business in an environmentally responsible manner.
This commitment is embodied by the products we manufacture. Since 1969, we’ve been focused on selling Outsulation systems – one of the most cost effective and energy efficient exterior cladding options used in construction today. Simply put, installing a Dryvit Outsulation system is like wrapping the building in a seamless blanket of insulation – placing it on the outside of the wall where it is most effective. Worldwide, over 400,000 buildings - both commercial and residential - save on average more than 20% on their heating and cooling costs, year after year, because they are clad with Dryvit Outsulation systems. How does this benefit the environment? Less fossil fuel consumed for heating and cooling = less carbon dioxide produced = smaller environmental impact.
Dryvit’s dedication to environmental sustainability does not begin or end with the systems we sell. Our operating philosophy is governed by ISO 14001:2004 (environmental management) standards in all of our plants, which forms the framework for a constantly monitored and improving manufacturing process. Practically speaking, this ensures our operations, sales, marketing and manufacturing commitment to maximizing efficiency while minimizing energy use and waste generation.
Our environmental philosophy is summarized by the phrase “tiny footprint, huge benefit”. This refers to the relatively small environmental impact we make in relation to the amount of energy saved by using our Outsulation systems. As defined by ISO procedures, every department at Dryvit is committed to continuous improvement in this cause, whether through locating more environmentally friendly raw materials and packaging, utilizing new communication technology in lieu of unnecessary travel, reducing energy use, recycling storm water, eliminating the use of glue in marketing collateral, or recycling programs in all facilities. Our employees have been the source of many of our environmentally conscious ideas and improvements.
